Sure, I'll be glad to digest the responses I receive offlist and will post
them back to the group.  And, for anyone who is on this list and who is IN a
YA group but is not the LEADER of the group, would you mind forwarding my
questions to your leader(s)?  Thanks so much!

Thanks to Heather M. in Boston for your helpful reply - the first one (and
the only one so far...)!  Hope to hear back from lots of folks.  I will be
glad to share the wisdom I get from you all.

(Bloomington Normal IL) and those sound like great questions!
