year's:
ConCentric: Spark the Spirit - Ignite the Fire - Be the Force for Change
ConCentric is the annual meeting of C*UUYAN, the Continental UU Young
Adult (18-35) Network. C*UUYAN is made up of districts comprised of
grassroots groups, including local congregational young adult groups and
campus ministries. ConCentric welcomes District Representatives, Young
Adult and Campus Ministry (YA-CM) leaders, Regional Organizing
Consultants, district organizers and experienced allies, and anyone
interested in becoming active in YA-CM leadership on the local, district
or continental level. As ConCentric gathers creative, experienced and
new leaders from across the continent we engage in networking,
participate in workshops and trainings that offer tools to help build
meaningful, sustainable communities across the continent.
ConCentric 2006: Spark the Spirit - Ignite the Fire - Be the Force for
Change will offer leaders the opportunity to nurture their spirit and
learn skills to empower the communities they work with to be the force
for change. Come to meet people, network, participate in the CUUYAN
leadership community--with fun in all--and leave revitalized about the
powerful work we do.
OPUS 2006: Heartstrings: Welcome Home
What is the meaning of family? What are we willing to do to find our
true home? Is it a comfort to know that you are never truly alone, or do
you seek the peacefulness of solitude? Are we each wanderers in search
of home, or do we try to create it where we are right now? No matter
what home and hearth mean to us, many of us seek a sacred space for
solace, for joy, and for serenity. Come join a community of friends and
peers at Heartstrings: Welcome Home, this year's spiritual retreat for
C*UUYAN. Here we will explore our own dreams of family, the power of
friendship, and the resilience of home.
