1. Welcome from Erin Riffle, C*UUYAN Volunteer Facilitator for
ConCentric
Dear young adults and allies,
I feel blessed to reach out to you in this otherwise cold and
dreary weather here in Akron, Ohio. As I write this, the month of
January is nearly complete, and we're moving quickly into a month of
groundhogs and valentines, for whatever they're worth!
As the ConCentric Facilitator, I've spent the last several weeks
working with the Opus and ConCentric core staff teams to work through
our staff selection process. It is an honor to read through applications
of such devoted Unitarian Universalists, representing our entire age
range, bringing leadership and extensive skills, and passion for our
faith to our 2007 staff teams. The joy I take from this work is
boundless and inspirational, and it's due to each one of you, conference
attendees, leaders, and Unitarian Universalist visionaries.
I encourage you all to keep your spiritual sparks kindled
throughout the winter season. Read that book, take time for personal
reflection and self care. But in such times, find those spiritual
connections-in your congregation, your district conferences and events,
in the walk you take with a loved one down a snowy trail. Love each
other, spark each other's spirits, and stay connected!
In faith and love,
Erin Riffle, ConCentric Facilitator
